Founded in 1997, by Rob Mies, the Organization for Bat Conservation (OBC) was established to educate and inspire people to actively save bats. OBC encourages people to take action in their own backyards and neighborhoods including installation of bat houses, planting wildlife gardens, and teaching others about the importance of bats.

Take a virtual tour of the Bat Zone with one of our educators and learn about the important roles bats play in our environment. Meet live bats, including a North American insect eater and several large fruit bats from the African and Asian tropics. After learning about how fascinating and essential bats are to our world, you will definitely want to help us #SavetheBats.
